Qualifications

Must Have

Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or marketing

5-7 years’ experience in a communications-focused role within agriculture industry

Strong diplomacy skills with the ability to build rapport across departments and throughout all levels of the organization

Excellent organization, time-management, prioritization, and verbal and written communication skills with a superior attention to detail

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality

Preferred

Team-focused mindset with an ability to build consensus and alignment

Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment

Bonus

Bilingual or multilingual

Curiosity and an openness that reflects the desire to learn and grow within the company

Alltech is seeking an ESG Project Manager who has the experience and passion to support the advancement of its Planet of Plenty vision. The position would be based in Dunboyne, Ireland, and will report to the Global Vice President for ESG.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project manage and coordinate a wide range of projects and programs to advance Alltech’s ESG strategy, including:
    • Science Based Targets GHG Reduction
    • Sustainability Assessment and Accreditation
    • Sustainability Reporting
    • Internal Sustainability Communications and Training Material Development
  • Support the development of a strategic plan that aligns company-wide sustainability and stakeholder engagement with our Planet of Plenty vision and commitment to the UN Global Compact and Sustainable Development Goals
  • Horizon scan and benchmark key sustainability and impact metrics across industry and beyond to ensure business awareness on future metrics
  • Collaborate with internal team members, customers and partners to accelerate our Planet of Plenty vision creating commercial success and societal benefit
  • Capture key sustainability and impact metrics from projects throughout the business and drive continual improvement
  • Report, internally and externally, on the advancement of our Planet of Plenty initiatives
  • As part of wider ESG Department, support our CEO and his team in embedding our vision of Working Together for a Planet of Plenty throughout the organization
  • Analyze current trends, identify stakeholders and potential partners, and develop recommendations for advancing the company’s Planet of Plenty vision, which includes improving nutrition for all, revitalizing local communities and replenishing the planet’s natural resources
  • Ensure the global Alltech team and its business partners are aware of the company’s ESG practices and policies, and that everyone is helping to enforce them and enhance their positive impact

 

The Ideal Candidate will possess:

  • A shared passion for Alltech’s vision of Working Together for A Planet of Plenty.
  • Experience in agriculture or food preferred,
  • Being bilingual or multilingual would be an advantage.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to properly prioritize projects and simultaneous deadlines.
  • Ability to lead cross-departmental projects and meet deadlines for both major milestones and individual tasks.
  • Strong presentation and diplomacy skills that demonstrate an ability to build rapport across departments and all levels of an organization.
  • A team-focused attitude with an ability to build consensus and alignment.
  • The ability to adapt and remain flexible in a fast-paced and high pressure environment.
  • Curiosity and openness that reflect the desire to learn and grow.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Master’s or advanced degree preferred.

  • Support executive leadership with calendar management, meeting coordination and hospitality, and administrative responsibilities.
  • Draft executive correspondence, including transcription of dictations.
  • Assist executive leadership in tracking key operational metrics by researching, organizing and compiling data and other information.
  • Respond to a wide variety of requests for executive response by summarizing and prioritizing them for executive review.
  • Availability on evenings and weekends on an as-needed basis.

Language fluency: English and Hindi mandatory, any other language would be a bonus.

Remuneration: Based on qualification, experience, and individual talent.
