This follows a similar letter from the FDA to Dr. Karl Dawson, Alltech director of worldwide research, which states the FDA's non-objection to the use of selenium yeast in the diets of poultry, swine, dairy, beef, and equine diets.

The company partnered with the Pattanarak Foundation, a non-governmental Thai organization, and identified several ways in which it could respond locally to victims in the Southwestern Thai province of Krabi, supporting widows and children who have lost their homes, family members and source of income.
