Alltech Has Supported 55+ UK PhD Students [Lexington, KY] - The University of Kentucky College of Agriculture Department of Animal and Food Sciences annually recognizes someone who has made outstanding contributions to the department and to Kentucky animal agriculture with induction into its Hall of Fame. This year, the department awarded the honor to Dr. Pearse Lyons, the founder and president of Alltech, a global animal health company headquartered in Nicholasville and with a presence in 128 countries.

[Lexington, KY] - Shovels slid into soft dirt Friday as Alltech broke ground on its $4.5 million distillery project in downtown Lexington, Ky. Located adjacent to the company's brewery, the 20,000 square foot facility will house production and storage for Alltech's Pearse Lyons Reserve whiskey, Bluegrass Sundown after-dinner Bourbon coffee beverage, and soon-to-be-released Bourbon. The project is expected to take approximately one year, making the anticipated completion date September 2012.
