Research has shown that many digestive disorders occur when partly digested nutrients are passed through the gut to the lower intestinal tract. A build-up of protein in the hind gut is a breeding ground for poultry disease organisms. By minimizing these undigested nutrients, it is possible to improve the gut microfora balance. Solid state fermentation technology can help birds digest these feedstuffs better and reduce their passage into the lower intestinal tract, eliminating the substrate for use by disease-causing organisms.
