Raised in Southland on my parent's dairy farm, I developed my passion for farming and livestock.  From an early age I started my own dairy cattle stud and began to buy cows and grow my small herd, and this herd is developing each season.  I became more involved in the home farm operation and decision making, allowing me to gain a complete understanding of the farming operations.

I always wanted to know more about animal nutrition and what was required to enable to cow to increase performance, which led me to study at Lincoln University.  At Lincoln, I completed a Bachelor of Agricultural Science majoring in Animal Health and Nutrition.  I took a particular interest in mineral management, ruminant nutrition, intake and the issue of high producing cows' impact on their fertility.

I have worked on farms across New Zealand and have experience in various farming systems.  With my background in animal health and nutrition, I can be an asset to farmers for assisting in a mineral and nutrition plan for their herd, while understanding and relating to current farming challenges.

Joining the Alltech team felt like the right choice, as I was already a supporer of the Alltech products through using them on my home farm for several seasons and seeing the herd thrive from the incorporation of Alltech Bioplex minerals into our herd diet.  Understanding that dairy cows are high performing animals that need to be supplied with high quality nutrition is essential.
