Beef and dairy sector must be proactive in solving environmental challenges

With increasing pressures to tackle greenhouse gas emissions in ruminant production, industry experts at the Alltech European Technical Summit called for collaboration between all stakeholders.

As the environmental impact of beef and dairy systems comes under increasing scrutiny, attendees were told the sector must be proactive in addressing the issue. This is especially important in order to meet the demands of today’s consumers, who are more conscious than ever about the impact of the food they eat, as well as retailers who are faced with ambitious emission reduction targets.
