The Alltech European Harvest Analysis, a decade-long initiative, is a comprehensive step in understanding the complexities of new crop quality and mycotoxin prevalence. The programme captures trends and enables robust data comparisons across years and regions. This analysis plays a pivotal role in empowering feed and livestock producers with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions.
The Alltech European Harvest Analysis, which spans over a decade, is a comprehensive step in understanding the intricacies of new crop quality and the prevalence of mycotoxin.
The program aims to capture trends and enables robust data comparisons across years and regions. This analysis serves as a cornerstone in empowering feed and livestock producers with the insights needed to make informed choices.
In a region where food security is of paramount importance, collaboration between the private and public sectors stands as a groundbreaking endeavour in the field of dairy farming. Situated in the heart of the Middle East, with its arid climate and limited natural resources, the United Arab Emirates faces unique challenges in ensuring a stable food supply while navigating the realities of climate change.
The poultry industry performs an essential role in providing nutrient-dense, animal-sourced foods, such as eggs, needed to meet the human population’s nutritional requirements.
Emerging mycotoxins were detected in more than 95% of samples analyzed by Alltech between January and August 2023. What are emerging mycotoxins, what risks do they pose and why are they so prevalent?
Emerging mycotoxins are those that are not routinely monitored or studied, and are not subject to regulations or guidance levels in feed materials. However, according to experts, evidence of their incidence is rapidly increasing, and researchers and regulatory authorities are gaining interest in them.
Alltech’s mycotoxin team has been comparing risk analyses from different mycotoxin testing methods to better understand whether feed and livestock producers may be underestimating mycotoxin risk if relying solely on rapid tests as a detection tool.
Diet composition and NSP diversity and variability will help determine which enzyme solution is right for each production system. Multiple substrates require multiple enzymes, so it’s crucial to look at the overall poultry diet instead of focusing on single ingredients. Choosing an enzyme complex that targets multiple substrates gets the most out of the complete diet.
Following intensive research over the past few years, Alltech has improved its enzyme technology even further with the introduction of Allzyme Spectrum®, a next-generation multi-enzyme complex that maximizes nutrient utilization by breaking down multiple fiber substrates in the diet.
Maximizing the nutritive value of poultry feed with Allzyme Spectrum leads to more efficient poultry production. When enzymes are added, the amounts of certain feed ingredients formulated into poultry diets can be reduced, leading to immediate cost savings and, in the long term, a reduction in the use of land, water and energy used to produce those feed ingredients.
