New service provider underlines KEENAN’s commitment to farmers to never miss a feed

Striking a new dealer partnership with Ontario Harvestore Systems has led to increased support from producers in the region.

Long synonymous with excellence in nutrition and driving animal health, KEENAN mixer wagons produce a unique homogeneous mix, which optimizes rumen health and ensures consistent performance. KEENAN mixer wagons are fitted with InTouch, a live review feed management technology, which provides real-time monitoring and optimization of herd health, ration formulation, weight gains/yield and costs. Global results show an average increase of 200 grams per head per day in beef live weight gain and a 16 percent increase in milk production, all achieved with less feed.

It tells the farmer step by step what feed mix to put in the machine and then records the actual totals. Variation in diet can be quickly identified, assessed and corrected by a skilled team of nutritionists who manage the InTouch system. If something goes wrong or there is a deterioration in animal performance, the farmer is alerted, and our nutritionist changes the diet.”
