KEENAN appoints new regional sales manager for Scotland

[STAMFORD, UK] KEENAN is pleased to announce the appointment of Alistair Morton to the role of regional sales manager for Scotland.

Mr Morton brings with him more than 10 years of experience in the animal nutrition industry, having previously worked in managerial sales roles supporting markets such as the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden and Portugal.

“We are delighted to welcome Alistair to the team. He has extensive knowledge of the industry and a comprehensive understanding of the different pressures that confront farmers,” said James Brough, KEENAN UK and Ireland sales manager.

Mr Morton was raised on his family’s beef and sheep farm in Lanark, Scotland and is heavily involved in the operations of their pedigree Beef Shorthorn cattle and flock of pedigree Poll Dorset sheep alongside the commercial sheep enterprise.

A keen advocate for agriculture, Mr Morton is an active supporter of The Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs (SAYFC) and a keen member of the Scottish Beef Shorthorn Club. He is also a council member for the Dorset Horn and Poll Dorset Sheep Breeders’ Association and has held previous positions such as the Breed Promotion Officer for the society.

Previous to joining KEENAN, Mr Morton worked for Galloway & Macleod as the pedigree beef and sheep sales manager based in Lanarkshire, Scotland. His responsibilities included sales and business development for the pedigree feed division in England, Wales and Ireland where he thrived on working closely with his customers to achieve their goals and drive greater on-farm results. He was equally responsible for growing the business in the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden and Portugal.

“KEENAN is a forward-thinking company that’s leading the way in terms of driving on-farm productivity and feed efficiency through delivering effective nutritional solutions,” said Mr Morton. “I strongly believe KEENAN offers the whole package in terms of animal nutrition and performance,” he concludes.
