Alltech welcomes experienced InTouch nutrition specialist to the Irish team

Alltech is pleased to announce the appointment of Seamus Millea to the role of InTouch feeding specialist for the Southwest region of Ireland. Millea is no stranger to Alltech, having previously worked with KEENAN for two years, in an InTouch feeding specialist role. Millea will now join the Alltech team, where he will cover the Southwest of the country, providing farmers with advice and support on diet formulation, feed budgeting, grass measuring, grazing advice, feed conversion efficiency and mineral supplementation.

InTouch is the leading nutrition support service available to dairy and beef farmers in Ireland. InTouch nutritionists use information gathered from on-farm services to monitor animal performance and make proactive decisions to maximise herd productivity. With experience in animal nutrition both in Ireland and abroad, Millea is set to be a valuable asset to the InTouch team in Ireland.

From Co. Kilkenny, Millea worked with Jordan Agri Services, Carlow as a technical sales advisor and after his time there travelled to New Zealand. There Millea worked with Fonterra’s subsidiary company Agrifeeds as an animal nutrition sales representative.

“We are delighted to have Seamus return to work with us in Ireland,” commented Cathal McCormack, country manager, Alltech Ireland. “His previous experience and nutritional knowledge will be a valuable asset to the team of nutritionists we have working with InTouch around the country.”

In his new role, Millea is responsible for providing ruminant nutrition support for all dairy, beef, sheep and goat farmers in the Southwest of Ireland. “I’m looking forward to providing valuable nutrition and farm management support to farmers in the Southwest of Ireland”, said Millea.
