Originally from Ireland, Liam moved to New Zealand in 2010.  Liam, with his wife Sarah and their three beautiful daughters, reside in Te Puke, the kiwifruit capital of the world.  The Murphy family enjoy the rural lifestyle, especially spending time on the farm in Te Poi, Matamata.

Liam loves the agricultural industry, and has worked in dairy farming, business management and water reticulation in the past.  This useful background knowledge gives him an edge as he is always keen to help support on farm when required.  His real interest is in nutrition, to seek the most from the feed that is being used.  His philosophy is simple:  happy, healthy, fully fed cows - that was his goal when dairy farming.

Liam holds a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.  Other hobbies include rugby, beach, family, water activities, driving two-wheelers and quadbikes.  Liam says he "likes to work with humour so that Irish blood of his is stirring.

Liam is excited to join the Alltech team and to add his enthusiasm in sharing the Alltech story with the people in his region.
