Dr. Jon Pretz is a dairy nutritionist at Hubbard Feeds. Over the course of his career, he has conducted extensive research studying strategies for improving forage quality and increasing digestibility, as well as how supplementation with Saccharomyces cerevisiae can affect production parameters. His other research interests include diet optimization, forage management, protocol development, transition cow management and product evaluation.

Dr. Pretz is a member of the American Dairy Science Association and the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists. While completing his graduate studies, he coached the collegiate dairy cattle-judging teams at Kansas State University and South Dakota State University.

Dr. Pretz holds a bachelor's degree in science and a master's degree in science from Kansas State University and a doctoral degree in dairy cattle nutrition from South Dakota State University.
