Celebration of Song

Celebration of Song brings the magic of the holiday season to Lexington. This event, which is complimentary and open to the public, showcases the sounds of the season — from traditional Christmas carols to popular holiday songs and music from other winter celebrations around the world. There will be TWO Celebration of Song shows this year — the first at 2:30 p.m. and the second at 5:00 p.m. Please invite your friends and family and members of the community to join us.

Alongside University of Kentucky Opera Theatre students and winners of the Alltech Vocal Scholarship Competition, the program will also feature the Uniting Voices Lexington youth choir. Led by artistic director and acclaimed baritone Dr. Michael Preacely, graduate winner of the 2010 Alltech Vocal Scholarship Competition, Uniting Voices Lexington empowers and unites youth from diverse backgrounds through music.
