Our customers include meat, milk and egg producers as well as those with specialty and companion animals. Our goal is to provide customers with products and solutions that will improve their profitability and competitive advantage, while reducing risk and simplifying their lives.  We have an established territory available in Indiana & Michigan and are seeking a qualified Swine Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities

This position reports to the Swine Sales Manager for our Eastern Business Unit and will facilitate the sale of all products through established dealer networks and select direct accounts, with special emphasis on swine feed and animal health.  Swine Specialists are also accountable for growth within an existing customer base, prospecting new accounts, developing and implementing sales plans, completing ration balancing and operating their territory within established travel and marketing expenses. The Swine Specialist position has the support and assistance of the Swine Sales Manager and Regional Account Managers.   

The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded swine sales background, a solid understanding of animal nutritional needs with an emphasis on swine nutrition and will have the demonstrated ability to grow our market share in the region. The position requires 2-5 years sales experience in the Agriculture sector and a BS degree in Ag Business or Animal Science (or equivalent experience).   

Requirements

Qualified candidates will possess a valid driver’s license, exceptional time management skills and be able to work effectively with technical support staff while servicing the needs of our customers.   Overnight travel is required on a routine basis.
