Our customers include meat, milk and egg producers as well as those with specialty and companion animals. Our goal is to provide customers (Retail Feed Dealers) and consumers (Companion Animal Owners) with products and solutions that will help them within their agri-businesses and improved performance and overall health within their companion animals. We currently have an established sales territory available in the Lexington, KY market area; and are seeking qualified candidates to fill the Senior Equine Account Manager position. Candidates must currently reside or be willing to relocate within the designated sales territory.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent Lifestyle Brands in a positive manner by exercising a disciplined sales approach to grow Equine within commercial breeding and sport horse farms
  • Lead in developing solid sales strategies to gain market share, margin and new business through dealers, equine breeding farms, and other key customers
  • Work with Lifestyle and Companion Animal Sales Manager to develop a list of new prospective accounts, and develop an action plan to secure the business and ship product
  • Strengthen relationships and brand awareness with key veterinarians, universities, and key influencers
  • Focus on species training with independent dealers and local sales team
  • Keep abreast with industry trends, developments, and techniques through attendance at professional meetings, conventions, and review of relevant printed materials
  • Work closely with others in the Lifestyle group to establish and support strategic goals and initiatives

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in equine science or animal nutrition
  • 5+ years’ experience in equine feed and nutrition sales (or strong equine industry experience)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license:  25% travel as needed for internal meetings and association events. This position will focus 75-100 miles around our Versailles, KY production facility
