Submission Requirements
Phase 1 – Regional Level - Papers
In the first phase students must write, in English, a scientific paper of 3000-3500 words based on an approved topic involving an animal feed issue. Each submission must be accompanied by a 250 word abstract based on the paper. The papers submitted cannot be previously published in any research journal.
Phase 2 – Global Level
Posters
Principles of simplicity and clarity apply to both poster and slide presentations.
The story should proceed logically, with headings indicating sections: Introduction, Objective(s), Materials and Methods, Results, Summary, and Conclusions.
Use of photos and/or flow charts are encouraged. Graphs should have titles, the axes should be named, and units should be quantified.
Tables should also be titled.
Posters should include a small, professional picture of the author near the title.
Presentations
Presentations should be based on the original paper submitted to the competition. All students are required to produce and present their posters and presentations in English. Sound experimental design and interpretation are essential. Microsoft® Office PowerPoint® is required.
