Alltech Announces Young Animal Scientist of the Year Competition

Alltech has created the competition through Animal and Dairy Science departments at various universities throughout North America to promote research and talent. The program will provide a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to interact with one of the industry's leading players in the animal feed industry. It will be divided into three phases: university, regional and national level.

Alltech announces Miss Yea-Sacc?1026

This year's winner will be revealed at the World Dairy Expo on October 4th in Madison, Wisconsin. Miss Yea-Sacc 2005 will receive a $1,000 cash award, the coveted Miss Yea-Sacc blanket and a bag of Yea-Sacc Farm Pak 2X. The contest will judge dairy cows on production criteria such as "Current 305-day Mature Equivalent Milk Pounds" and "Lifetime Milk".

Branded Meat Summit a Success

More than 80 people attended the meeting designed to provide the latest information on turning a commodity into a valuable brand. Attendees were also treated to dinner from Maverick Ranch, Laura's Lean Beef, and Certified Angus Beef at the Branded Meat Showcase on Thursday night.

Registered Dieticians To Receive Continuing Education Credits at Alltech's Symposium

[Lexington, KY.] - Registered dieticians in the United States who attended the Food Quality, Nutrition and Health Session at Alltech's 21st Annual Symposium, May 22-25 can receive seven Continuing Professional Education Level II credits from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), the certification agency for the American Dietetic Association (ADA). The CDR advised Alltech of the session's approval at the end of April. Alltech representatives were on hand to assist registered dieticians in recording their Continuing Professional Education Level II credits.
