[Lexington, KENTUCKY] - Alltech, a global leader in animal health and nutrition, is pleased to announce that Dr. Ronan Power will be the recipient of the 2008 Scientific Medal of Excellence to be presented at Alltech's 24th International Animal Health and Nutrition Symposium in April 2008. Dr. Power will be honored for his work in advancing the use of Nutrigenomics and gene expression profiling, as tools for improving nutritional strategies in both animals and humans.

[Dublin, IRELAND] - As part of its continued expansion and commitment to excellence in research, global animal health company Alltech cut the ribbon on its Centre for Animal Nutrigenomics and Applied Animal Nutrition at its corporate headquarters on April 20, 2008. The first facility of its kind in the world, the centre is dedicated to the study of the effect of nutrition on gene expression and represents a 20,000 square foot expansion of the company's existing research facility.

[Lexington, KENTUCKY] - Today, Alltech received a grant of up to $30 million from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to be used towards the establishment of its rural community biorefinery. The plant will be located in Springfield, Kentucky and is estimated to employ 93 people when operating at full capacity.
