[Lexington, KY] - Alltech's 2005 Asia-Pacific Lecture Tour (APLT) will "Create, Innovate, Elevate" will reflect the focus of the company's 2005 Feed Industry Symposium. This year the tour will include 14 stops throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

Presentations on the tour will be given by leading authorities including Peter Spring, professor of animal sciences, Swiss College of Agriculture; Ronan Power, director of research, Alltech; and Alistair Johnson, veterinary surgeon, Minster Veterinary Practice, UK.

[Lexington, KY] - Professor Mingan Choct of the University of New England, Australia, was the 15th recipient of Alltech's Medal of Excellence. The medal was presented to Professor Choct at the opening of Alltech's Annual Feed Industry Symposium, in Lexington, Kentucky, USA, on Monday May 22nd, 2005. Each year the winner is chosen for his or her exceptional research into natural and advanced solutions to animal health.

[Lexington, KY] - The Food and Drug Administration recently gave Alltech a letter of non-objection for the use of Sel-Plex? in the diets of sheep and goats. This follows a similar letter from the FDA to Dr. Karl Dawson, Alltech director of worldwide research, which states the FDA's non-objection to the use of selenium yeast in the diets of poultry, swine, dairy, beef, and equine diets.

[DUNBOYNE, Ireland] - Alltech, the global animal health company hosted a successful series of six meetings focusing on the Future of Growth Promotion in Ruminants, Poultry and Pigs (14-22 April 2005). A dynamic group of speakers from Europe, North America and Asia spoke on the impact that growth promotion will have on animal welfare in the future. The meetings attracted an international audience from across Europe, and North and South America; with up to 40% of Europe's key livestock industry professionals and over 25% of Brazil's broiler industry leaders attending.
