[Dunboyne, IRELAND] - Performance vs. Profit - Why can't we have both? This was the question addressed by 110 top industry professionals at Alltech's Pig Solutions Seminar, held in Alltech's European Bioscience Centre in Dunboyne, Ireland, on the 11th of October 2011. The seminar looked at how drastic changes in the human population, such as Asia's growing middle class and an extra 200,000 people globally per day will affect the pork industry. Specifically, it focussed on how to adjust existing paradigms to keep up with the new demand for meat while staying profitable.

[Beijing, CHINA] - Global animal health and nutrition company, Alltech, predicts it will achieve an annual revenue of $1 billion in China, according to Irish businessman and company founder and president, Dr. Pearse Lyons. Lyons was present in Beijing and Shanghai during a week-long meeting hosted by Alltech, with 105 Presidents of feed and food companies from 24 countries, including China. The meeting was considered by Alltech to be a lead in to this week's Global Irish Economic Forum at Dublin Castle.
