Alltech Recognized as a Technology Leader, Earning Microsoft Dynamics 2014 Customer Excellence Award

[LEXINGTON, Ky.] – Alltech recently landed a top award in technology for its global, company-wide implementation of a Microsoft® suite that has brought Alltech improved efficiency and helped contribute to its double-digit sales growth. The 2014 Customer Excellence Award for Industry Excellence: Manufacturing was awarded to Alltech as part of the Microsoft Dynamics Customer Excellence Awards announced this week. Alltech and its Chief Information Officer Tim Arthur were also finalists in two other respective categories of the Microsoft awards: Technology Innovation and Business Visionary.

Alltech company leaders will be honored by Microsoft executives at an awards luncheon on Wednesday, March 5, at Convergence 2014 Atlanta, a conference for users of Microsoft Dynamics®. Microsoft Dynamics is a line of financial, customer relationship and supply chain management solutions that help businesses work more effectively.

Arthur noted that the goal in the adoption of the updated system was to improve business processes by connecting all Alltech offices to one central virtual location through technology, thus overcoming any language, geographic or social barriers.

“This award showcases Alltech’s ability to focus and draw all of our departments together for a common goal, not just in technology but in our chosen field of animal nutrition and health,” Arthur said. “This was not just a management information systems or finance or operations project, but truly an Alltech project. We had buy-in from the top down, allowing for successful across-the-board implementation that will provide even greater growth and opportunities for Alltech in the future.”

The 2014 Customer Excellence Awards, which are presented in 17 categories, recognize and celebrate Microsoft Dynamics customers that have achieved notable accomplishments using the technology suite. Established in 1997, the Customer Excellence Awards are awarded each year at the Convergence user conference in the United States.
