Whether Competing or Simply Completing – Everyone Won at the Biggest Loser RunWalk during Alltech’s Kentucky Gathering

[LEXINGTON, Ky.] – While four-legged athletes competed inside the Alltech Arena, runners exercised their two legs on a course winding around the picturesque Kentucky Horse Park during the Biggest Loser RunWalk event on Saturday, Nov. 2. Part of Alltech’s Kentucky Gathering festivities, the race series inspired by NBC’s hit weight-loss show attracted more than 1,435 racers in its first edition in Kentucky.

The Biggest Loser RunWalk was sponsored in partnership by Alltech and the Bluegrass Sports Commission and included a 5k race, a 15k race and a 1-mile Fun Run for children. Dan Evans, a contestant from Season 5 of The Biggest Loser, served as emcee for the event and congratulated runners as they crossed the finish line located beside the Alltech Arena. Congratulations to the following winners:

Racers received free admission to the day’s events at the Alltech National Horse Show and those over the age of 21 also received a token to sample Alltech’s Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co.’s Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale® at the Savor Kentucky event.
