Feed Costs to Soar Further?
[Dublin, IRELAND] - Over 1700 attendees were surveyed during Alltech's annual Animal Health and Nutrition Symposium from 20-23 April 2008.
- 70% responded that biofuels will increase the cost of food by more than 30%;
- 48% of respondents agreed that the current generation of agriculture could be considered the greenest generation ever;
- Over half of respondents believed that pollution legislation will noticeably increase feed cost;
- The vast majority of those surveyed consider that more efficient food production is the key to the future success of animal farming.

Respondents included agricultural professionals such as, nutritionists, veterinarians and other industry experts, representing all seven continents.
