Alltech Strengthens its Presence in South Asia

?

[Bangkok - THAILAND] As Alltech continues to develop its presence in the region as a leading player in the area of animal health and nutrition, a number of new appointments and promotions have been made. This will enable the company to work in closer collaboration with regional markets and provide a dedicated customer support system at local level.

Dr Shahzad Naveed Jadoon has recently been appointed as the General Manager for Alltech Pakistan.? Dr Jadoon received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2003 from the University of Veterinary and Animal Science in Lahore, Pakistan. He has many years of experience in the animal feed industry, specifically in the broiler industry and will be responsible for establishing Alltech's newest market.

Mr. Songphon Wasanakamon has joined Alltech Thailand as Technical Sales Manager - Key Accounts.? Mr. Songphon graduated with a Bachelor of Science, in Animal Health Science from Rajamangala University of Technology, Bangkok Thailand. After graduation, he joined Philips International as Senior Sales representative. He will be responsible for handling sales and business development of key accounts.

Ms Vu Thi Ngoc Hanh has joined Alltech as Marketing Coordinator for Alltech Vietnam.? Ms Hanh received her Bachelor Degree in Veterinary Science from Nong Lam University (Vietnam) in October, 2002 and completed her Masters on Quality of Livestock and Aquaculture from Tour University (France) in October 2003.? She has a number of years of experience in the aquaculture industry as well as a strong marketing and business development background.

There have also been a number of internal promotions within the company:

Mr Cemlyn Martin has been appointed to General Manager, Corporate Accounts, Asia-Pacific.
Cemlyn gained his Bachelor of Agricultural Science and Master in Agricultural Science in Agricultural Economics from La Trobe University, Melbourne. With Alltech he has held several roles including product management, General Manager, South Asia and most recently as General Manager, South East Asia. ?He is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mr Max Purser has been appointed to Regional Training and Development Manager, Asia-Pacific.? Max graduated with a degree in Agricultural Science from University College Dublin, Ireland. Max worked for Alltech Ireland before moving to Alltech Chile as Account Manager. He returned to Europe to pursue his MBA at Cambridge University, UK.? He then held the position in Alltech as Project Development Manager for the Asia-Pacific Region while also carrying out a number of responsibilities including Product Champion for Allzyme? SSF.? Most recently Max held the position of General Manager for Alltech Malaysia and Singapore.

Dr Mongkol Kaewsutas has been promoted to Business General Manager for Alltech Thailand. Dr Mongkol graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Veterinary from Kasetsart University, Bangkok Thailand and received his Masters in Marketing Management from Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand. He has been working in the Thai animal health industry for more than 13 years. He joined Alltech Thailand in 2000 as technical sales manager.

After spending two years as General Manager for Alltech Thailand, Dr Richard Chong has returned to Malaysia as General Manager of Alltech Malaysia. The move allows Dr Chong to spend more time with his family and for his children to study Malay and Mandarin language at school. ?Dr Chong obtained his Bachelor of Agriculture Science (major in Animal Science) from The University of Manitoba, Canada in 1995. After that he pursued his graduate studies at The University of British Columbia, Canada and obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in 1999. Dr Chong was first involved with Alltech in Canada after which he was transferred to work for Alltech Philippines, Alltech China and subsequently Malaysia.

Mr Kevin Huang has been appointed to Business General Manager of Taiwan. Kevin graduated with a degree in Animal Science from National Chung Hsin University?Taichung, Taiwan.? He joined Alltech Taiwan in 2005?as Corporate Account Manager.? Kevin will now continue to develop Alltech's business in Taiwan.
