The 2010 North American Lecture Tour concluded at the University Plaza Hotel Convention Center in Springfield, Missouri. 262 agricultural stakeholders gathered to discuss current opportunities to “Bounce Back” and overcome difficulties. Optimism was the theme and guests were able to reflect specifically on how Dr. Pearse Lyons has built Alltech – and what can reignite the American agricultural conscience. The next generation was represented by Dr. Mark Lyons, the son of the company’s founder, as Alltech's 30th anniversary and the monumental 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games were highlighted. Guests were able to get in on the excitement of the Alltech World Equestrian Games while the Missouri State University Rodeo Bears hosted an interactive equestrian video game challenge and there was a drawing for tickets to the Alltech World Equestrian Games.
Tour Report Fresno, CA
58 guests attended the North America Lecture Tour in Fresno, CA. Unfortunately due to poor weather and road closures the remaining guests were unable to attend. Hot topics included Nutrigenomics, Selenium supplementation and the role of Sel-Plex in this, and the challenges posed by mycotoxins, particularly after the challenging corn harvest in the Midwest. Guests were interested in the plans for a mineral center of excellence for the state.
When Dr. Ronan Power asked attendees how many people knew someone affected by Alzheimer’s, a large portion of the room raised their hand and were therefore very tuned into the application of Sel-Plex to slow the on-set of the disease. The challenging corn harvest has been well publicized in recent weeks so it was fitting that two of the speakers spoke about the threat posed by mycotoxins and discussed strategies to mitigate potential animal effects.

The Pendleton stop in Oregon had 58 producers, nutritionists and students who gathered to listen how to bounce back from 2009 and create a much stronger 2010 for the animal industry.

38 much focused attendees represented the Idaho dairy industry this afternoon in Twin Falls at the Alltech North American Lecture Tour to discuss bouncing back tactics to build a bright future.
Tour Report Brookings, SD
Alltech’s North American Lecture Tour landed in Brookings Tuesday morning where 160 local university students, professors, producers and industry professionals packed a room at the Swiftel Center to hear the latest research and industry information from Alltech. Bluegrass Sundown, 30 in 2010 cake and champagne helped ring in the occasion. All of the attendees were very impressed and some key individuals mentioned that this was the best NALT they had ever attended.

On January 19th we kicked off the year with our North American Lecture Tour stop at the Lethbridge Lodge and welcomed 80 of Alltech’s friends in the Lethbridge area.
The lecture was well received by guests and customers alike.
The timely topics covered costs and efficiency of alternatives to Vitamin E (EconomasE), the importance of the right form of selenium and branding the agriculture community by education and community outreach efforts.
At our reception, we highlighted topics such as traceability and quality control, the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2010, our newest education initiative Kidzone, one of Alltech’s philanthropic ventures, Alltech-Muhammad Ali Center Global Education and Charitable Fund and much, much more.

Fifty-five animal health industry professionals attended the Alltech North American Lecture Tour Monday evening in Mankato. Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games partners, Techmix and Tuffy’s, joined the Minnesota stop to share in the excitement for the Games. Ken Swanson, Director of Ruminant Nutrition for Hubbard, said “Thank you to everyone in Alltech for putting the meeting on as these meetings are always very informative!”

The North American Lecture tour’s ninth stop was held at the University of Florida Hilton Conference Center in Gainesville, FL. Forty five industry representatives, producers and agricultural students from University of Florida’s Block and Bridle and Horse Judging Team attended the meeting to hear talks on industry issues and Alltech solutions. After viewing the displays featuring Alltech’s most current progress, everyone celebrated Alltech's 30th anniversary with cake.

The North American Lecture tour’s seventh stop was held at the Lancaster Host Conference Center in Lancaster, PA. Seventy three industry representatives, producers and agricultural students attended the meeting and discussed solutions to industry issues and how to “Bounce Back” from past difficulties. After viewing the displays featuring Alltech’s most recent advances and endeavors, as well as talks from Dr. Pearse Lyons, Dr. Karl Dawson, Dr. James Pierce and Dr. Mark Lyons everyone celebrated Alltech's 30th anniversary with cake and ice cream.
Tour Report Lexington, VA
Eighty four industry representatives, producers and equine enthusiasts joined Alltech for the eighth stop of the Lecture Tour in Lexington, VA. The Virginia Horse Center was packed with displays featuring the latest Alltech innovations and the most up-to-date Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games information. Past and present World Equestrian Games competitors and judges joined us and shared stories of their experiences in displays and demonstrations. The night ended with a Bluegrass Sundown and cake reception celebrating Alltech's 30th anniversary.
Tour Report Burlington, VT
The Vermont North American Lecture Tour was held in Burlington at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center. Alltech was host to over 50 attendees for this event. Our guests were very interested in learning about the Kidzone program and information about the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. We held a drawing for tickets to the Games and Mr. Jacob Bourdeau of Bourdeau Brothers in Sheldon, VT, won the drawing.
The Mycotoxins discussion was of great interest and attendees felt is was very informative. In light of Alltech’s 30th Anniversary a cake was presented to Dr. Pearse Lyons, and Dairyman Pat Howrigan owner of Windy Acres Farm assisted Dr. Lyons in cutting the first piece of cake. A complimentary lunch was served afterwards which was very well attended.

The sixth stop of the North American Lecture Tour was in Mount Morris, New York. The event was attended by over fifty industry representatives including dairy farmers, feed manufacturers, university professors, extension educators and students. We discussed the 'Bounce Back' principal to improve some technical aspects in 2010 such as utilizing the Nutrigenomics technology and Glycomics to increase animal performance and to overcome problems associated with mycotoxins. The attendees celebrated Alltech's 30 year anniversary with champagne and cake.
Tour Report Waterloo, ON
The Tour made its first stop in Canada at the St. George Banquet Hall in Waterloo, Ontario. Sixty-seven people attended this years Ontario stop which not only covered the important issues in the industry and ways to Bounce Back in 2010, but it also marked a time to celebrate Alltech’s 30th anniversary. Among attendees were graduate students and professors from the University of Guelph. After listening to the lectures attendees were able to enjoy some ice cold Kentucky Ale while browsing through the many displays highlighting Alltech’s involvements and achievements. The stop was a true success enjoyed by all.

Customers who participated at the NALT were very impressed by Dr. Pearse Lyons. Several said that he’s a refreshing motivator and had good topics in his presentation. Customers have appreciated being informed of new products such as : Actigen and EconomasE. They enjoyed their glass of Bluegrass Sundown Coffee while listening to the speakers. Customers were able to continue their evening enjoying a tasty meal offered by Alltech Quebec Team.

The North American Lecture tour kicked off today in Columbus, Ohio. The lectures were held on Ohio State University's campus at the Blackwell hotel. Fifty-one individuals attended including students, professors, farmers and other industry representatives. The theme of the lecture was Bounce Back with a focus on new technologies and solutions to today's challenges within the livestock industry. Following the presentations attendees enjoyed a Kentucky Ale reception celebrating Alltech's 30th anniversary. The next stop of the lecture tour is in Wausau, WI.

The Alltech Wisconsin stop of the NALT tour took place in central Wisconsin which was a perfect location for the majority of the guests present. We had an audience of 38, consisting of nutritionists, farmers and media. They were all impressed with the innovation and progress of 30 years of Alltech and Dr. Lyons vision on the future. The current mycotoxin issue was on the forefront of the minds of the guests and they appreciated the latest research that Dr. James Pierce presented.
We served Bluegrass Sundown during TPL’s presentation and the guests loved it! Many asked for the recipe and where they can purchase it. The meeting was followed with a dinner and Kentucky Ale along with cake picturing the 30’s years of Alltech.
