About the Farm: Eddie, the farmer, his wife, and their daughter Maddie live and work on this dairy farm in Kentucky in the United States. The cows, a breed called Holstein, are the most important part of his dairy and they must stay content and healthy so the way they are fed is important. All the cows on the farm are milked automatically and the refrigerated milk is picked up every few days and taken by tanker to a processing center. Milk is one of our most nutritious foods and is also used to produce butter, cheese, yogurt, and other food items.
