EU approves human health claims for food enriched with organic selenium, such as Sel-Plex from Alltech

[Lexington, Ky.] – Alltech is proud to announce that the European Commission has published human health claims that can be used when organic selenium such as Sel-Plex® is added to the animal’s feed, enriching food with the essential trace mineral selenium. The approval process involved an extensive review of the current scientific research, in relation to the benefits for humans, in consuming foods enriched with organic selenium.
