In the animal feed industry, quality is as much about safety as it is about nutritional value. It is vitally important that our natural supplements are nutritionally balanced and effective. But even more urgent is the need to insure that they are free from contaminants like mycotoxins, heavy metals, dioxins and PCBs.
Alltech has invested years of scientific research into the development of yeast and enzyme-based animal feed supplements. All of that effort and expertise is wasted if we cannot verify the absolute safety of the final product that is shipped to customers. That is why we developed the Alltech Quality System (AQS).
AQS requires that we sample and analyze every shipment of active raw material that comes into our facilities. We use stringent, standardized and documented procedures at every production facility, blending facility and warehouse. Then we sample and analyze the finished product before it is shipped to our customers. The AQS is not just a risk management tool; it is designed to ensure that every product we ship is safe, effective and nutritious.
