Alltech Philippines’ Technical Sales Manager, Arturo Frio, who also addressed attendees at the opening seminar, examined the key drivers for profitability and sow productivity. Seminar, Aziz Sacranie, technical director poultry, Alltech, explained how dietary supplementation with organic selenium (Sel-Plex) was reported to increase egg production, egg weight, shell quality, selenium content and immuno-competence and also reduce the effects of heat stress. All these factors, he said, help to contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the layer operation and to long-term sustainability.
