Norman learns about the importance of silage in Uruguay! Norman meets with Enrique Robert and Beatriz Gfeller!

The next stop on Norman’s global trot was Uruguay a country famous for its food, soccer and of course its beaches. The first place Norman went to was the Rocha Coast, a beautiful natural area of Uruguay. Here he trotted along the beach; neighing to people he passed, telling them all about the upcoming Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy. After a morning of exercise and socialising it was time for Norman to cool down and soak his hooves in the shimmering sea.

Norman neighs hello to his Brazilian friends!

Norman neighs hello to his Brazilian friends! Norman attends the 24th Brazilian Congress of the Brazilian AQHA!

Norman trotted into Brazil and was excited to visit this country as he had never been there before. First Norman stopped to see the famous statue of Christ the Redeemer, which stands high up in the city of Rio. Thousands of tourists travel to see this world famous statue each year. It is truly  a spectacular sight. Norman was surprised to find out that the statue had been hit by lightening several times. Afterwards Norman cantered over to look at the Maracanã, officially called Estádio Mário Filho stadium where the 2014 Soccer World Cup is taking place this summer.

Norman discovers Ecuadorian Agriculture!

Norman’s next stop on his global trot was Ecuador, and he was excited to see some volcanoes! Norman cantered up Cotopaxi, and was very tired when he reached the top. The volcano is the second highest summit in Ecuador and it reaches a height of 5,897m. This was a lot of exercise, even for Norman! As he looked at the amazing view from the top of the volcano, he was quite excited and a bit scared to learn that Cotopaxi is one of the most active volcanoes in the entire world! Oh dear, thought Norman, I need to get to the bottom before this volcano erupts!
