Ray Prock has a unique perspective on the dairy industry. He works on a dairy farm in Denair, California, but he also has experience with dairy at a broader level.
Alltech spoke with Prock at the 2012 World Dairy Expo about his work with Dairy Management Inc. and Dairy Checkoff. They’ve done some interesting work, including a partnership with McDonald’s which has led the restaurant to incorporate a handful of products with more dairy.
He still faces many of the same challenges dairy farmers around the country have faced, like pressure from rising feed prices and the need to increase profitability and sustainability.
