Farmers are in search of new ways to reach out and engage with others in and out of the agriculture community. There are opportunities for those in search of ways to tell their story, but not everyone is sure of where to start. Alltech wants to give one farmer going to the 2013 National Agvocacy 2.0 Conference the tools to learn how to tell his or her story by providing a scholarship at the conclusion of the conference.
The AgChat Foundation was designed to help farmers learn to become agvocates. They’ll receive training and experience they need to get started, so they can tell their stories and help others do the same.
Each of our finalists will attend the conference and have the opportunity to learn from seminars and discussions about the best way to tell their stories as agvocates. We want you to help us pick a winner. Our seven finalists are listed below. Take a look at each of their essays and vote for your favorite.
A winner will be selected early next week and earn a scholarship after attending the conference. Voting will remain open until Monday, August, 26. The 2013 National Agvocacy 2.0 Conference will be held August 22-23 in Charlotte, N.C.
Vote for your favorite with the ballot on the right of each essay. Here are the finalists:
UPDATE (Aug. 26): The contest has now ended. Thank you for voting for your favorite. Congratulations to the winner of the 2013 AgChat Scholarship, Anna Leigh Peek.
