Katie Nolles lives on her family's ranch in Bassett, Nebraska. They raise purebred Herefords and run a custom embryo placement business. Katie loves living in the Sandhills of Nebraska and being surrounded by family and cattle.
At 16, Katie is a proud member of 4-H, FFA, and the National Junior Hereford Association. All of these organizations have provided her great opportunities, showing cattle, showcasing and learning about photography, and interacting with professionals. Her favorite pastime is working with her show cattle. Raising her own show animals allowed Katie to be involved in making decisions for her herd and now is involved with her family's herd. She plans to attend university and dual major in agricultural communications and journalism and animal science. After college Katie plans to return to the family ranch to continue raising Hereford cattle and write for an ag publication.
