Paraic Kenny is a young 17 year-old show jumping rider from Co. Wexford, Ireland with an extremely bright future. Paraic has enjoyed much success in his career particularly over the last year when taking the ride on his aunt’s exuberant Connemara pony, Grey Ross. Having played a strong role in the Irish pony team’s success at the Nations Cup in Fontainebleau in April of last year, Paraic and Grey Ross went on to win the Grand Prix in Hagen, Germany.

The duo were then chosen to represent Ireland on the pony team that travelled to the European Championships in Fontainebleau in July. After securing victory in the opening individual qualifier, Paraic and Grey Ross went on to finish best of the Irish in individual 18th place. Paraic’s achievements throughout the year were duly acknowledged, and he was awarded with a Young Riders Bursary as well as being named The Irish Field Junior Show Jumper of the Year. Grey Ross is a smashing 11 year Connemara gelding by ‘I Love You Melody’ and out of ‘Ros Abbey’ and is currently for sale.

We met Pauric recently where he told us about his career to date and the Equine Heroes that have helped him along the way.
