The judges have returned with their answer, and we have a winner in our Farming Film Festival.
Congratulations to Emily Yue, who submitted our winning entry in Alltech’s 3rd annual Farming Film Festival! Emily’s video features Jeff Hempkin on his farm in Nantucket, Mass.
Alltech wanted to find farmers who were looking for new ways to tell their stories about how science plays a part in work on a farm. Alltech strives to help farmers improve their crops and livestock through science, and we wanted the videos to reflect that. We received several outstanding entries, but Emily’s stood out.
Videos were judged by a panel of science and agriculture journalists based on their quality, creativity, and story interest. Here’s the winning video:
1st place: Bartlett’s Farm by Emily Yue ($2,000)
2nd place: Helios Farms by Clayton Berthelsen ($500)
3rd place: The Art of Farming – Deep Narayan’s Story by Varun Mehta ($250)
The third place winner was determined by the video with the largest number of online votes.
Thanks to each of our finalists! We hope you'll consider participating in next year's contest.
