We are awarding a scholarship to AgChat Foundation’s Agvocacy 2.0 Farmer Social Media Training (August 23rd through 24th). Vote for your favorite Agvocate!
More and more farmers are turning to agvocacy to communicate with non-ag audiences. Agvocates work hard to tell agriculture’s story and engage consumers in open honest discussions about how our food is grown. Social media provides farmers with lots of tools they can use to tell the story, but those tools can seem confusing when you are first starting out.
How do I set up a blog? Should I be on Facebook or Twitter? Pinterest or Instagram? How will I get visitors? Where will I find the time?
The AgChat Foundation was started specifically to help farmers get started agvocating. They have developed an excellent training program called Agvocacy 2.0 that provides farmers and others in agriculture with the hands-on experience that they need to get going.
For the second year in a row we are happy to sponsor Agvocacy 2.0 and offer a scholarship to one of these future Agvocates. Registration fees for one student will be covered by Alltech, but we need your help to select the winner. Follow the links below to read about our four finalists and what they hope to get out of Agvocacy 2.0. Vote for the most promising future agvocate by clicking the vote button on their post. You can vote once an hour. Spread the word and help your favorite agvocate.
The agvocate with the most votes at 11:00AM CST, Friday August 24th wins.
