Norman neighs hello to Lithuania Norman in Lithuania

Norman galloped into Lithuania where he had heard horse whispers regarding a famous breed of horse called Žemaitukas and wanted to find out more.

Norman met Mrs. Dalia and Mr. Aidas, a local family who run a farm with over 1000 dairy cows. When welcomed inside, Norman was grateful to get out of the cold and sip on a nice cup of hot tea. Mrs. Dalia continued to tell him more about the Žemaituka horse breed.

Norman trots into Latvia to visit the Horse Training Centre in the Latvian University of Agriculture! Norman meets with Brodor!

Norman’s next stop on this global trot was Latvia. The Latvian landscape, is a mosaic of vast forests alternaternating with fields, farmsteads, and pastures. Norman fell in love with its undeveloped seashore, lined by pine forests, dunes, and continuous white sand beaches.

Norman gallops into beautiful Estonia! Norman enjoys his time at Estonia's veterinarian conference!

Norman’s next stop on his global trot was Estonia and he was excited to visit a country with amazing natural beauty. As the most northerly of the Baltic States Estonia is mainly flat land, rolling into the eastern sandy shores of the Baltic Sea. Norman was very excited to meet with the Estonian Horse breed which descended from the primitive forest horses of Northern Europe 5,000 years ago. These horses are known to be incredibly healthy and Norman wanted to pick up some tips.

Norman races into Russia for his welcome party! Norman enjoys some goats cheese

Norman’s next stop on his global trot was Russia. Russia’s vast landscape hosts a broad array of travel experiences from treks up the slopes of glacier capped mountains to strolls along the shoreline of the earth’s oldest lake. Norman was interested in finding out more about the famous Russian Don; a breed of horse developed in and named after the steppes region of Russia where the Don River flows. These horses are currently used for under-saddle work and driving.
