“The future is in the hands of the young generation,” said Dr. Pearse Lyons, founder and president of Alltech. Dedicated to education for over 30 years, Alltech inspires and fosters young students and scientists through interactive educational experiences and sustainable ideas. For the past five days, the Alltech 30th Annual International Symposium not only attracted over 2,000 professionals from around the world, but also recruited 190 students to participate in its journey of innovation.The event kicked off with a special student welcome dinner on Sunday, May 18 at the Hilton hotel in downtown Lexington.

The University of Kentucky Wildcats have had a historic run in the NCAA tournament. No doubt there have been many factors that contributed to their amazing post-season reversal of fortune. However, on ESPN’s SportsCenter Saturday night, commentator Rece Davis speculated that a team reading assignment might have had something to do with it. He explained that Coach Cal had given copies of the inspirational book, The Green Platform a few weeks ago to his team.

Alltech Innovation Competition Returns to Ireland

On Wednesday April 2, Alltech hosted its second annual Innovation Competition which took place at European headquarters, Dunboyne, Co. Meath. A total of six Universities battled it out for a chance to win the prize fund of €4,000. Waterford Institute of Technology student John Kennedy was awarded the overall prize for his outstanding competition entry - Field Buddy.
