[LEXINGTON, Ky.] – Alltech and the Kentucky Equine Networking Association (KENA) are serving up local brews and expert-led discussions on equine nutrition during Equine News and Brews, held Thursday, Sept. 12, at Alltech’s Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co.
The free happy hour provides a forum for members of Kentucky’s equine community to hear from experts about the latest news in equine health. Guests will enjoy Alltech’s Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co. brews and hors d‘oeuvres.
Featured speaker Dr. Laurie Lawrence, Ph.D, of the University of Kentucky’s College of Agriculture, Food and Environment will give an overview of characteristics unique to equine digestion that affect feed management during her presentation, “Selecting the best nutrition for your performance horse.” Her discussion will also address how to meet nutritional needs while promoting digestive health. Dr. Lawrence is the Provost’s Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Kentucky where she researches the relationship between equine nutrition and performance and teaches classes in equine nutrition and management.
During the program, Charlotte de Beyer, LIFEFORCE Range sales manager for Alltech, will present the science behind Alltech’s LIFEFORCE Range of all-natural digestive supplements.
