This is the most exciting time to be in business. The world is experiencing phenomenal change at an unprecedented rate. I have created the Alltech Graduate Academy so that I can personally identify and nurture these leaders.

With Alltech you will have the opportunity to work in areas including agribusiness, aquaculture, algae, crop science and fermentation technology. Together we will aim to reinforce and capitalize on the entrepreneurial energy of our young managers, leveraging Alltech’s current assets and research expertise as we transform Alltech into a $4 billion business by 2020.

We want to continue to build a framework where the global business community, research institutions, universities and governments can work together to foster innovation and differentiation to address some of the fundamental challenges present today.

This is not a standard graduate program. I am personally invested in this program. I built this company in 30 years. I left home, I trusted my instincts, followed my passion, took a leap of faith and I succeeded. I challenge you to do the same.

Cristiane Sampaio
Latin America Marketing Manager – Alltech Brazil

After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in advertising and a Master’s in corporate marketing I applied for an internship with Alltech Brazil in 1997. I worked my way up, beginning as a Marketing Assistant then moving on to Marketing Analyst, Marketing Coordinator, Product Coordinator in Brazil in 2005, and then I moved to Alltech Headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky to take the position of Regional Species Coordinator.

In 2006, I moved to Chile and took the position of Marketing Manager and in 2007, I moved to Costa Rica to manage the marketing of the whole Central America & Caribbean region. In 2009, I was promoted to Latin America Marketing Manager where I have since built an effective and efficient team.

Adam Naylor
General Manager – Alltech Australia

After completing my BSc degree in human nutrition at the University of New England in 1996, I was fortunate enough to meet up with Professor Mingan Choct who inspired me to do postgraduate studies in animal nutrition. After completing my honors year I began an Alltech sponsored Masters project in poultry nutrition.

I was attracted both by the type of research project and the opportunity to have a job ready at the end of my studies. After graduating in 2000, I joined the Alltech Australian team responsible for technical sales into the local pig and poultry industries.  I really enjoyed the opportunity to have a role which allows me to communicate a technical message at various levels – from the grass root producer up to the technical consultant nutritionist.  

I have since stepped up into the General Manager role creating more opportunities to learn and grow. I am looking forward to learning more over the years and enjoying the ride as we continue to build Alltech into the most significant animal health business in Australia and the rest of the world. One thing I tell everyone I meet about my job is that I have not had one dull moment in the past 11 years, with Alltech every day is an adventure.

Global Financial Controller – Alltech UK

I was attracted to Alltech immediately because it is such a bright and dynamic organization in a growing industry. In my first years at Alltech, I worked as a controller in the Asia-Pacific region where I was able to play a key role in the acquisition of Alltech’s facility in Tianjin, China.

Today I live in the UK and work in a global capacity on regional corporate reporting, taxation, budgets and mergers and acquisitions. The job is challenging and I enjoy it every single day, working with Alltech’s global team is especially enjoyable. My academic qualifications enable me to have a better understanding of the nature of my role. However, a can-do attitude, team work, efficient communication skills, coupled with a caring and understanding personality are all factors which have contributed to my success at Alltech.

Business General Manager - Alltech Thailand

When I had my first interview with the then General Manager of Alltech Thailand he asked me where I saw myself in the next 5 to 10 years. I told him that I wanted his job! I started with Alltech in 2000 as key account manager, where I developed sales and marketing strategies for the Thai market. Eight years later I was promoted to the position of Business General Manager of Alltech Thailand with more than 20 people in my team.

Alltech is a highly integrated multinational company that requires regular networking with colleagues in other countries which helps us to share ideas and experiences. Many training and development courses provided by Alltech have also contributed a lot towards broadening my vision, skills and strategic thinking, and have allowed me to succeed in the company over the last 12 years.

Swamy Haladi
Alltech Global Technical Manager

Many say that I have a dream job and they are right! While growing up in a rural part of Southern India, I never imagined that one day I would be a globetrotter. In my current role as Alltech Global Technical Manager I have the opportunity to travel around the world and meet people of different business interests and cultures.

My association with Alltech started 17 years ago as a graduate student at Bangalore Veterinary College, India. Further Alltech contacts led to an opportunity to be part of a PhD program in Canada. Straight after my PhD, without even a formal interview, I joined as a trainee in Alltech Canada and I have never looked back.

Over the last decade, I have been proud to be part of the Alltech team working mainly on the issue of mycotoxins; educating and preventing the negative effects of mycotoxins on animals and humans. It is fantastic to be part of a company that inspires an individual to excel without any boundaries. If that is not excitement and fun, I don’t know what is!

Dr Richard Murphy
Research Coordinator – Alltech European Bioscience Centre

I am currently working as the Research Coordinator at Alltech’s European Bioscience Centre in Dunboyne, Ireland. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry in 1994 and was awarded a research scholarship from Alltech which allowed me to complete my PhD in Biochemistry in 1999.

Following this, I was employed as a research scientist in Alltech’s Bioscience Centre in Ireland. I remained in this position for four years before being promoted to my current position of Research Coordinator where I manage a team of 15 scientists, some of whom are completing Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD programs.

The research that we do here is always at the cutting edge of scientific innovation. This is largely because Alltech trusts its scientists by giving us a lot of freedom to decide the direction of our research. We also have the opportunity to work with colleagues around the world, tackling new and exciting issues that arise suddenly. This flexibility, excitement and confidence in the ability of the research team are what makes Alltech different and is why I enjoy working here.

Gunes Sezer
Eastern European Marketing Manager

The diverse opportunities at Alltech are unbelievable. After graduating from Bosphorus University in Istanbul, Turkey with a degree in languages and marketing I began my career at Alltech Turkey, twelve years ago, as a Marketing Coordinator. Since then, I’ve worked as a Global Brand Manager and Regional Marketing Manager at Alltech’s European Headquarters in Ireland.

Professionally, I feel rewarded as there are many new challenges which allow me to grow, learn and explore. Being a part of such a global company and team makes each day exciting. Travelling to different countries and experiencing different cultures has given me the opportunity to grow so much at a professional and personal level.  It is also a privilege to work with the most passionate and talented people from all walks of life. I never would have thought all of this would be possible when my career started in Turkey but it really shows that opportunities are abundant at Alltech.

The Alltech Graduate Academy will equip participants with the skills necessary to make a real contribution to a world-leading organization where they will have the chance to take on significant responsibility at an early stage in their careers. Successful candidates will work on R&D, Sales, Marketing, Finance, I.T., Operational, Engineering and Regulatory projects in several areas of Alltech’s business including animal science, aquaculture, agronomy and in our consumer division. Individual assignments will be planned by creating a development path which takes overall business priorities and the profile of the graduate into consideration. At Alltech, we are not interested in creating a cloned structure for our graduates to fit into; we prefer to create movement in which participants can develop their own solutions and carve their path with external support and a personalized development program.

On completion of the Academy, participants will be ready to play a key role in their field of expertise and passion, share their acquired knowledge and take on even greater responsibilities.

If you are one of the 20 talented and ambitious graduates, chosen from around the world to participate in the Alltech Graduate Academy, you will have a world of opportunity and experience at your feet.  The 12-month, salaried, executive Academy will begin with an intensive induction and training period in Alltech’s European Bioscience Centre in Dunboyne, Ireland and Alltech’s Global Headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky, USA.  

Following this you will be assigned to one of Alltech’s 128 international offices. There, you will spend your time working on stimulating projects, learning how a global market leader operates and how you can help write the next chapter in our success story. During this time you will learn practical management skills and lay the foundations for a career that you can shape according to your own ambitions.

While participating in the Academy, you will be mentored by the best that the industry has to offer and will have access to Alltech’s president and founder Dr. Pearse Lyons, a world renowned entrepreneur and scientist who has a personal interest in this Academy.

The aim of the Alltech Graduate Academy is to give participants in-depth exposure to the management of an international business. Using experiential learning we will equip you with the tools and skills to excel in your chosen career path through structured mentorships and real-world projects.

Who can apply to participate on the Alltech Graduate Academy?
Applicants who have graduated or are expected to graduate* from a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree course.

How do I apply?
We have recently received final applications for the 2012-2013 Alltech Graduate Academy and are currently processing them. Can I submit my application in my native language?
All applications must be submitted in English.  English is our primary business language here at Alltech and you will need to be able to communicate with us in English, both written and spoken.

What’s unique about the Alltech Graduate Academy?
This program offers graduates valuable involvement in challenging real business scenarios and responsibility for high profile projects in the dynamic and fast moving world of animal nutrition and agronomy.
You will be mentored by the best that the industry has to offer and will have access to Alltech’s president and founder Dr. Pearse Lyons, a world renowned entrepreneur and scientist, who has a personal interest and commitment to this program.

My undergraduate degree is not closely related, am I eligible to apply?
Yes. We are looking for candidates with a high level of engagement, passion and creative thinking irrespective of their initial field of study. We would like you to bring to Alltech the values and the richness of experience that comes from a broad-based education.

Do you accept candidates who have recently graduated but also have significant industry experience?
Due to the nature of the Alltech Graduate Academy it would not be appropriate to have participants with long-term industry experience. However you are welcome to apply through www.alltech.com/careers for other employment opportunities.

Can PhD students apply to this Academy during their PhD studies?
No, participants are expected to have completed their studies.

Can I apply for deferred entry?
No, due to the nature of the Academy we cannot accept deferred entrants.

How will I know if my application has been successful?

What is the starting salary?
