Latin America Marketing Manager – Alltech Brazil
After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in advertising and a Master’s in corporate marketing I applied for an internship with Alltech Brazil in 1997. I worked my way up, beginning as a Marketing Assistant then moving on to Marketing Analyst, Marketing Coordinator, Product Coordinator in Brazil in 2005, and then I moved to Alltech Headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky to take the position of Regional Species Coordinator.
In 2006, I moved to Chile and took the position of Marketing Manager and in 2007, I moved to Costa Rica to manage the marketing of the whole Central America & Caribbean region. In 2009, I was promoted to Latin America Marketing Manager where I have since built an effective and efficient team.
Alltech is an excellent company to develop your career and to develop your own skills and abilities. You have the opportunity to work in different markets and to get to know different cultures, which challenges you in ways that you would never expect.
General Manager – Alltech Australia
After completing my BSc degree in human nutrition at the University of New England in 1996, I was fortunate enough to meet up with Professor Mingan Choct who inspired me to do postgraduate studies in animal nutrition. After completing my honors year I began an Alltech sponsored Masters project in poultry nutrition.
I was attracted both by the type of research project and the opportunity to have a job ready at the end of my studies. After graduating in 2000, I joined the Alltech Australian team responsible for technical sales into the local pig and poultry industries. I really enjoyed the opportunity to have a role which allows me to communicate a technical message at various levels – from the grass root producer up to the technical consultant nutritionist.
I have since stepped up into the General Manager role creating more opportunities to learn and grow. I am looking forward to learning more over the years and enjoying the ride as we continue to build Alltech into the most significant animal health business in Australia and the rest of the world. One thing I tell everyone I meet about my job is that I have not had one dull moment in the past 11 years, with Alltech every day is an adventure.
Regional Manager - CP
When I had my first interview with the then General Manager of Alltech Thailand he asked me where I saw myself in the next 5 to 10 years. I told him that I wanted his job! I started with Alltech in 2000 as key account manager, where I developed sales and marketing strategies for the Thai market. Eight years later I was promoted to the position of Business General Manager of Alltech Thailand with more than 20 people in my team.
Alltech is a highly integrated multinational company that requires regular networking with colleagues in other countries which helps us to share ideas and experiences. Many training and development courses provided by Alltech have also contributed a lot towards broadening my vision, skills and strategic thinking, and have allowed me to succeed in the company over the last 12 years.
Working with Alltech is just like a family, we help each other, we care for each other and we also enjoy celebrating our memorable achievements and having fun together.
Dr Richard Murphy
Research Coordinator – Alltech European Bioscience Centre
I am currently working as the Research Coordinator at Alltech’s European Bioscience Centre in Dunboyne, Ireland. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry in 1994 and was awarded a research scholarship from Alltech which allowed me to complete my PhD in Biochemistry in 1999.
Following this, I was employed as a research scientist in Alltech’s Bioscience Centre in Ireland. I remained in this position for four years before being promoted to my current position of Research Coordinator where I manage a team of 15 scientists, some of whom are completing Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD programs.
The research that we do here is always at the cutting edge of scientific innovation. This is largely because Alltech trusts its scientists by giving us a lot of freedom to decide the direction of our research. We also have the opportunity to work with colleagues around the world, tackling new and exciting issues that arise suddenly. This flexibility, excitement and confidence in the ability of the research team are what makes Alltech different and is why I enjoy working here.

Before joining the Alltech Career Development Program, I had a background in Translation and Linguistics. Since joining the Program, I have been actively involved in many diverse tasks. After the initial three week induction period I was assigned to the Brewing and Distilling Division where I played an active role in Sales, Marketing and Events.
Having had no previous experience in this field, I spent four weeks in our Corporate Headquarters in Kentucky receiving training specific to this role before being relocated to Ireland, one of the burgeoning markets for our beers and spirits. In Ireland, I was actively involved in a variety of different projects from craft beer festivals to the inaugural Alltech’s Brewing and Distilling Convention and beyond.
Upon the completion of the Program in November, I will be moving to France to work on logistics for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy putting into practice all I have learnt over the course of the year.
While growing up in a small town of Northern India, I never imagined having an international career. After completing my BSc in Business Information Technology at University of Greenwich in London, I applied for the Alltech Career Development Program. After an intense training program in Ireland, I was assigned to work with Alltech Algae. I was based out of Alltech’s International Headquarters in Kentucky for the first six months. After this, I moved to Thailand to work on developing the algae business in the Asia Pacific region. I work with regional teams and customers on how to market DHA enriched foods.
I respect the entrepreneurial spirit of Alltech and enjoy being part of a global team. I feel rewarded as there are many new challenges which allow me to learn and grow professionally and personally. This is truly a dream job for any graduate!
I completed my BSc in Zoology from the University of Guelph in 2009 with a focus on biology, ecology, and animal science. I remained at the University of Guelph to complete my MSc in Evolutionary Biology. Following graduation in 2011, I accepted a position with Monsanto and became thoroughly interested in agriculture and agronomy.
Following a rigorous selection process I was accepted into the Alltech Career Development Program. Subsequent to the induction period that took place in Ireland I was assigned to the Alltech Crop Science division. Here I was able to make strategic decisions while developing the market for the launch of Alltech Crop Science in Canada.
By the year 2050, the population is expected to exceed 9 billion people. Through the program, I have gained valuable experience in agribusiness working with a world-leading organization. It has provided me the opportunity to find solutions to feed our growing population.
I was looking for a career that not only could challenge me, but reward me personally as well. Alltech helps to provide these rewards and the challenges that precede them. My journey with Alltech has pushed me to become a more driven person and to take on challenges that I would never had before. Graduating from St. Andrews University with degrees in Business and Politics laid the basis for my professional skill set and the Alltech Career Development Program has helped me to cement these skills and adapt them to new situations.
There is never a dull moment working for Alltech and in the Brewing & Distilling division. Something that I truly believe in is that you must live your brand. That means no matter when, what, or where, you are representing your company, product brands, and everything that they stand for.
The passion, momentum and opportunity at Alltech drew me to apply for the Alltech Career Development Program in 2012. A native of Kentucky, I received degrees from the University of Kentucky and the London School of Economics, and have worked in international trade and policy in Washington, D.C., London and Beijing.
After joining the Crop Science division, I relocated to Ireland and am now serving as the European Project Coordinator looking after key business accounts across Western Europe. This role has allowed me to grow my international trade marketing portfolio, work closely with an unparalleled marketing team in Europe and exposes me to top business minds in all regions of the globe.
Being part of the program means a mandate from Dr. Pearse Lyons himself to think big, be bold, and work ardently to feed a growing global population. This may seem daunting, but it is truly an unbelievable opportunity!
International experience is what I have always aimed for and I believe that the first step is to build up a strong academic background is with international study. After completing my Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, I continued my education and graduated with a Master’s degree in software engineering from Auckland University.
After being selected for the Alltech Career Development Program, I embarked on a professional journey building a strong foundation for my career growth. The induction and training program in Dublin and Lexington was an excellent experience. I worked on challenging and dynamic projects like Social media, Alltech Crop Science and Brewing and Distilling.
Working at Alltech provides employees with international experience and ongoing opportunities to learn, develop and grow that serve them well as individuals, and as managers and entrepreneurs.
This platform allowed me to develop professional skills and at the same time unleashed an avalanche of hidden skills that I otherwise would not have discovered.
I applied for the Alltech Career Development Program after successfully completing both a BSc in Biosciences and an MSc in Science Communication. I was looking for a company that allowed me to develop my current skill set as well as learn many more; luckily I found that in Alltech. Additionally, I had a keen desire to remain in a science-based environment whilst having the opportunity to travel and have new experiences, both personally and professionally.
I can now say that my time with Alltech has been both eventful and valuable. I have been to new places and have learned new things. I have formed friendships with people from all over the world and worked on exciting, proactive projects. I am looking forward to developing within Alltech and pursuing the professional opportunities as much as possible.
After completing my BSc degree in Communications and Media at the University of Leicester in 2012, I applied for the Alltech Career Development Program seeking a fast-moving environment with the possibility of international experience.
Alltech delivered on both. Since beginning at Alltech, I have had training at Headquarters in Lexington, KY, and have been permanently based in Ireland working within the marketing department on consumer goods - in particular the beers and spirits produced by Alltech’s brewing and distilling division in Kentucky. During this time I have been involved with sales, marketing and events, with a strong focus on the inaugural Alltech International Craft Brewing and Distilling Convention in Dublin. Fast-paced and exciting, with Alltech there is always a wealth of dynamic projects and opportunities just around the corner!
I came to work with Alltech through the Alltech Career Development Program. It was a fantastic introduction to a truly innovative company. The program gave me broad exposure to different parts of the company and at the same time trained me for my specific role. I have been a part of the Alltech Crop Science team for seven months now and the experience has been incredible.
Alltech’s unique model allows me to also travel across Canada to visit our customers and ensure the correct application of our science. I get to know these growers personally. I get to understand their needs so as part of the Alltech Crop Science team I can provide ever better solutions to the challenges facing farmers.
My educational background is in business and finance. Alltech has taken those basic skills and allowed me to use them far beyond what I thought possible.
After graduating with my Master's in International Business Management, I applied for and was accepted into the Alltech Career Development Program. From there, I worked with my teammates through a rigorous and educational induction. During that process I was able to show my strengths and passions in order to help management place me in a position where I could grow professionally and become a leading contributor to the company.
In these past nine months, I have been working in the beverage division for Alltech. My responsibilities have touched on various disciplines within Alltech's Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co. from finance for event budgeting to marketing, sales and public relations. I have taken the opportunity given to me by the program to put my entrepreneurial skills to work. A specific example of these efforts is The Bourbon Barrel Project on Town Branch. As the lead for this event, I worked with LexArts in the planning and execution of a nine month-long arts project for the city of Lexington. The project focused on the bourbon industry and its importance to the city of Lexington, The Town Branch commons (a long-buried stream which formed the city) and of course the bridge between art and commerce.
I am looking forward to my future success through this program and beyond!
During my time at Texas A&M University, I worked in various research studies, eventually conducting my own in equine reproduction. I studied agricultural economics and animal science as an exchange student at the University of São Paulo in Pirassununga. Upon earning my B.S. in Animal Science, I moved to Washington D.C. and began work in agricultural policy and government affairs.
The experience I gained during my time on the Alltech Career Development Program has been invaluable. Following training with Alltech Crop Science in the United States, I relocated to Brazil to conduct an in-depth market analysis and develop a repositioning strategy for two of the highest grossing sales products. After six months in Brazil, I relocated to Ireland to develop Alltech Crop Science accounts across Eastern Europe. This incredible year has allowed me to develop a career in a cutting-edge company that is devoted to an industry I am passionate about.
The Alltech Career Development Program has proven to be a pool of immense opportunities for my career and experience in life. I am a Post Graduate in Business management and a Biotechnology engineer. I have interned and completed projects with Biotech related companies and research labs both in business development and science related areas. I was selected for the Alltech Crop Science (ACS) team.
After being trained by the lead management of Alltech and ACS in Ireland, Kentucky and Iowa, we travelled out for our individual projects. I arrived in Turkey with a project on change of management and corporate communication and moved to business development coordination for the Middle East. Now, I am working on the supply chain operations for ACS Europe. The wide variety of roles and regions offered through this program has contributed a great deal to our vision of life. And I can vouch for it any day now- Alltech does do things differently!
I am from Lisbon, Portugal where I did a Masters degree in microbiology and genetics.
Following three years as a research assistant in Portugal and a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology in France, I felt the appeal of an international marketing career. In order to prepare for this career change, I joined the EDHEC Global MBA in Nice, France. Following an experience as an International health market research executive in Paris, I decided to apply for Alltech’s Career Development Program for a more exciting future in a dynamic global animal health and nutrition company. After being accepted in the program, I experienced an invaluable induction period about Alltech’s corporate culture, values and businesses. I started working as Brand Ambassador for the Alltech Brewing and Distilling Company and ended up on the Algae team where every day is as exciting as the last! I value the endless career opportunities, challenges and excitement offered by Alltech in its rise to become a megabrand.
