[Dunboyne, Ireland] - Nutritional management of fertility. Managing high yielding dairy cows for energy balance and optimal fertility. These were some of the areas addressed at the global Dairy Fertility Symposium, which was held in conjunction with Alltech and University College Dublin from the 27th - 28th October 2005. The Symposium brought together the world's leading experts on dairy fertility from a number of disciplines - including nutrition, breeding and management.

A dynamic group of international speakers presented to a diverse audience of industry professionals from across Europe.

Alltech are pleased to announce the opening of their European Aquaculture Research Centre in Rodnevo, Bulgaria, launched in conjunction with Trakia University. The Research Centre was officially opened by the Mayor of Radnevo, Mr. Noncho Vodenicharov on the 14th October 2005. Alltech has worked with Trakia University for several years as part of their "Marketing through Education" programme.

A record 54 attendees, from Bangladesh, India, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Brunei, Madagascar, Tanzania, Indonesia, Australia and Thailand, participated in the NACA-Alltech Shrimp Health Management Training Workshop recently (October 3-8, 2005), in Bangkok, Thailand. The workshop was the 12th in the series previously sponsored by NACA and AAHRI. Attendees gained useful strategies for basic shrimp health management and learned about current trends in the shrimp production industry.
