Compelling passion for arts and education has driven Alltech’s president and founder, Dr. Pearse Lyons to pioneer the annual Alltech Vocal Scholarship Competition, and as a result, it has become the largest vocal event in Kentucky.
Scientific journeys are ignited by a sense of curiosity and wonderment about the world. Two young researchers from Australia and Brazil followed a trail of questions about the future of agriculture and food production to arrive at innovative research. Their scientific journeys brought them to Lexington, Ky., where today they received the titles of Alltech Young Scientists at the 29th Alltech International Symposium.
Seven students from as close as Kentucky and as far as China are destined for GLIMPSE 2020, the 29th Alltech International Symposium, May 19-22, in Lexington, Ky., to compete in the Alltech Young Scientist Competition. Although the four undergraduate finalists and three graduate finalists come from different countries and cultures, they share the common aspiration of advancing the world through scientific discovery.
After finishing secondary school I entered the Izhevsk State Agricultural Academy and Music School, but over time the science became a priority for me. My interest and love of science grew even more in my last year of studying when I was writing my paper. After a successful defense of my graduation project and graduation from the Academy, I decided to enter graduate school.
